Brussels Sprouts
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
Cheese Mixture
- 5.2 oz Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (California Olive Ranch extra virgin preferred)
Topping
- 1 tbsp spicy honey (e.g., Mike’s Hot Honey)
- Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Trim the Brussels sprouts by cutting off the bottom stem area of each sprout. Then cut each sprout in half. Set the halved sprouts aside for now.
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Select a 13×9 inch ceramic cast iron baking dish to help prevent sticking. In a bowl, combine the Boursin cheese and olive oil and mix until smooth. Spread this cheese mixture evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
- Arrange Brussels Sprouts in the Dish: Press each Brussels sprout half firmly into the cheese layer so they stick. You can arrange them randomly or neatly in rows according to your preference. Drizzle a little olive oil over the sprouts and use a basting brush to spread it evenly. Finally, sprinkle the seasoned salt evenly on top to enhance flavor.
- Bake and Finish: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 28 to 30 minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and slightly crispy on the edges. Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest without disturbing for 5 to 10 minutes. Immediately after, drizzle the spicy honey over the Brussels sprouts for a delicious sweet and spicy finish. Serve warm and enjoy!
