Pecan Pie Bark is an easy-to-make dessert that combines the rich flavors of buttery brown sugar and vanilla with crunchy chopped pecans on a graham cracker base. This delightful treat offers the classic taste of pecan pie in a simpler, bark-style form that’s perfect for snacking or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • Graham Crackers (enough to cover a 10 x 15 inch pan in squares)

Topping

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10 x 15 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, making sure it has edges to catch the topping. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Arrange Graham Crackers: Break the graham crackers into squares and evenly place them in a single layer covering the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. Melt Butter and Sugar: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter together with the brown sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has just dissolved. Be careful not to boil.
  4. Add Vanilla and Pecans: Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans until fully combined.
  5. Pour Mixture Over Crackers: Evenly pour the pecan and butter-sugar mixture over the layer of graham crackers, spreading it gently if needed to cover as much surface as possible.
  6. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes. The topping should be bubbly and golden but not burnt.
  7. Cool and Set: Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, the bark will set and harden for easy breaking and serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to use a baking pan with edges to contain the topping as it bubbles up during baking.
  • For extra flavor, you can toast the pecans lightly before adding them.
  • Let the bark cool fully before breaking into pieces to ensure clean breaks.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
