Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles
  • Chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Prepare Creamy Base: In a large mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and hot sauce thoroughly until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Incorporate Chicken and Cheeses: Fold the shredded chicken along with the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese into the creamy base. Mix gently but evenly to distribute all ingredients throughout the dip.
  4. Arrange in Baking Dish: Spread the prepared dip mixture evenly into an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similarly sized oven-safe dish.
  5. Bake Dip: Bake the dip in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and begins bubbling at the edges.
  6. Optional Browning: For a slightly browned and golden top, place the dip under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  7. Add Toppings and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle evenly with blue cheese crumbles and/or chopped green onions or parsley. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or slices of crusty bread.

Notes

  • You can substitute ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing for a different flavor profile.
  • Use cooked chicken leftovers or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the heat level of the dip.
  • To make it spicier, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and texture; leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
