Ingredients

Scale

Slider Ingredients

  • 24 Hawaiian Rolls or Potato slider rolls
  • 1 ½2 pounds deli ham, sliced thin
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese

Butter Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/3 cup onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare slider rolls: Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, trying to keep the tops and bottoms connected if possible. Lay the bottom halves in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet approximately 13×18 inches.
  3. Make the butter sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, poppy seeds, finely diced onion, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until fully combined.
  4. Assemble sliders: Evenly layer the thinly sliced deli ham over the bottom halves of the rolls. Then, place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham. Using a spoon, spread the butter sauce evenly on the underside of the top halves of the rolls, then place the tops onto the sliders with the buttered side down.
  5. Cover and bake: Cover the baking tray with foil and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the sliders are warmed through.
  6. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, separate them into individual portions, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Keeping the slider tops connected when slicing makes assembly and serving easier.
  • You can customize with different types of cheese or add pickles for extra flavor.
  • For a crispier top, remove the foil in the last 2-3 minutes of baking to lightly brown the tops.
  • These sliders can be made ahead and reheated wrapped in foil at 300°F for 10-15 minutes.
  • Make sure to use a large enough baking sheet to avoid overcrowding, which helps even heating.
